Not infrequently Westerners who have gone native can be seen proudly strolling the bazaars and tourist attractions of India. Note this example (a French-speaking woman) with the henna tattoo on her foot. One wonders how far it goes, and where it all stops, and why it should stop at all. Does she scorn toilet paper? Does she nourish suttee fantasies?
