Sparkles is a four-month old joey whose mother was killed by a passing vehicle. Dawn carries Sparkles around in a canvas bag. We ran into Dawn and Sparkles one evening in the underground bar of our motel. We’d trade a bag of opals for a bag of Sparkles any day. Dawn and Sparkles were the highlight of our trip to Coober Pedy.
